XBTO is a platform that focuses on institutional digital assets. The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Abu Dhabi Global Market has granted the platform full regulatory approval. This allows the platform to expand across the United Arab Emirates. The approval grants XBTO a Financial Services Permission under the 3A License Category, which follows a previous in-principle (IPA) approval issued in September 2024.
The full FSP allows XBTO to operate a wide range of financial services both from and within the ADGM. These services include custody for digital assets, matched-principal trading, investment advisory and arranging deals. With this license, XBTO can now act as a regulated counter-party to key institutional customers in the region such as sovereign wealth fund, regional banks, family offices, and so on.
This approval aligns XBTO with ADGM’s regulatory structure for digital asset service provider, allowing it to engage directly with stakeholders within the UAE’s financial eco-system. With the license in hand, XBTO is now able to promote its services across the region according to regulatory standards.
