During Elon Musk’s Grok 4 talk, he described xAI as the ultimate “truth-seeking” AI. Some X users discovered that the network is dependent on posts made by the entrepreneur on the platform.
Included are topics like the conflict between Israel & Palestine, immigration laws, and abortion.
Observations indicate that Grok 4 was specifically created to consider the political opinions of the head xAI in answering questions controversial.
The billionaire had announced earlier that his company would use “all of human knowledge” in order to create a brand new chatbot. This is because the existing models are “trained on data without being adjusted,” which results in “too many garbages.” Gary Marcus, an AI expert, compared Musk’s plan with a dystopia.
Grok began to make controversial, contradictory and more emphatic statements. xAI has stated that they are working hard to remove any inappropriate content.
TechCrunch’s Grok 4 chatbot was asked for an opinion on immigration in the U.S. The bot “sought Elon Musk’s views” during its reasoning.
TechCrunch reported that Grok 4’s thought process on the subject of immigration in America tended to refer to Musk’s views.
It is not possible to know with certainty how AI models arrive at the conclusions they do. They are considered to reflect the truth in most cases.
Journalists from the publication have found repeatedly that Grok 4’s responses are influenced by Musk’s opinions.
The chatbot offers a variety of opinions on controversial topics. It often ends up expressing an opinion which is similar to Musk’s.
