Hackers launched an advanced mobile spyware platform which triggers the total compromise of Android or iOS devices.

According to iVerify, the platform in question is known as ZeroDayRAT. It is available for purchase on Telegram.

This gives hackers a powerful dashboard that allows them to take full control over phones running Android versions 5 to 16 and iOS version 26 or higher, including the iPhone 17 Pro.

This spyware can access everything, from the live GPS location and history to every app notification, such as WhatsApp, banking, crypto, and other apps. It also has the capability to send and read SMS and to view the full list of account on the phone, and even to bypass two-factor security.

SecurityWeek’s Daniel Kelley, a researcher at the University of Washington, says that this platform is decentralized and does not have a central server to be tracked by authorities. Advertisements for the spyware are available in Portuguese, Russian Chinese, Spanish and English.

We’ve seen messages posted in Chinese and Russian, as well as the use of a Russian domain to target Indian victims…

Crypto stealers run clipboard injection indefinitely, stealing funds whenever the victim attempts to transfer money. Unknown outbound transactions sent to an address that the victim does not recognize are a warning sign.

Bank thieves are more interested in credentials than they are about initiating direct transfers. Unauthorized logins would occur. By the time the financial records are affected, the damage has already been done .”

Malware is spread when users click on malicious links in smishing messages, phishing email, fake apps stores, and links that are shared via WhatsApp or Telegram. Researchers recommend that users download only official apps and never click on unsolicited links.
