  • Litecoin is the leader with 8,08M non-zero wallets.

  • Dogecoin (XRP) and XRP are both popular cryptocurrencies with active users.

  • Shiba Inu is steadily increasing the number of holders, while Chainlink is lagging behind.

Santiment, a blockchain intelligence platform, recently released a chart highlighting notable altcoins with their non-empty (holders) wallets. The chart reveals their user base, their market standings and investor engagement.

Below is a chart showing the number of hodlers and non-empty wallets for notable altcoins over the past 10 years.

Litecoin: 8,08M wallets

Dogecoin: 6,69M wallets

XRP Ledger: 5.24M Wallets

Cardano: 4,48M wallets

Shiba Inu: 1,39M wallets

Chainlink: 722K Wallets pic.twitter.com/BiF97RBJmz

Santiment reports that Litecoin (LTC), which was launched in 2011, is the oldest asset analyzed. It has 8.08 million wallets with a non-zero balance. This steady growth indicates strong investor confidence and favorable trends in the market.

Dogecoin (DOGE), with its 6.69 million nonempty wallets, is the second largest meme coin in terms of market capitalization. Elon Musk’s support and a vibrant community have driven its significant growth.

XRP (XRP), with its 5.24 million wallets that do not have zero balances, has a large and established user base. XRP’s wallet numbers have increased by approximately 340,000 since January, indicating a steady growth in investor trust and a stable user base.

Chainlink (LINK), on the other hand, has a slower growth rate than other assets. LINK has the lowest number of wallets with no money in them, at 722,000.

Shiba Inu has 1,39 million wallets that are not empty, despite being launched three years after Chainlink. This is still less than Litecoin or Dogecoin but it shows a growing userbase. The number of SHIB owners has been steadily growing, indicating a loyal community that is still developing.

Analyzing these active addresses will give you a better idea of their engagement level. SHIB, for example, had 21,799 addresses active as of July 24, 2020, with a noticeable spike in early march, reaching 152,000. The number of active wallets suggests that not all of them are active.

XRP had 95,273 addresses active, indicating a higher level of engagement. The range of addresses active for XRP is between 60,000 and 160,00, which indicates a higher level of user activity than SHIB.

Santiment’s overall analysis highlights the different growth and engagement levels for these altcoins. Litecoin, Dogecoin, and XRP all have large user bases. SHIB and XRP are growing steadily and showing active engagement. Chainlink’s slower rate of growth also suggests that it is lagging behind the other coins in terms user adoption.
