The Tokenize Indonesia accelerator program has been launched by BRI Ventures and Coinvestasi. It is aimed to identify and support Real-World Assets (RWAs) in the blockchain space.

This initiative aims to promote innovation and the adoption of tokenized asset in Indonesia. It builds on the findings in “Project Wira: Indonesia’s Asset Tokenization Opportunity”, a report published in November 2024, which estimated a market for tokenized assets worth US$88 Billion in Indonesia.

Tokenize Indonesia runs from April 2025 to August 2025. Shortlisted start-ups are required to run Proof Of Concepts with major corporations in Indonesia. These include financial institutions such as Bank Rakyat Indonesia and telecom providers Telkom Indonesia. In August, the program will culminate with shortlisted start ups being showcased in Asia’s biggest crypto festival Coinfest Asia on 21-22 August in Bali.

Tokenize Indonesia’s launch was announced at ONCHAIN2025, an annual conference organized by Saison Capital and D3 Labs. It brings together investors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from traditional finance as well as fintech. Over 500 people attended this year’s event in Bangkok.

We at Saison Capital believe blockchain technology is the foundation for shaping inclusive finance in the future, as well as transforming financial systems and creating equity. We remain active in investing in blockchain startups that are solving real-world financial problems, despite the volatility of today’s market. We must rally partners in order to provide greater support to founders in solving the challenges that corporations face. And we are happy to find like-minded partner such as BRI Ventures or Coinvestasi.” said Qin En Looi. Partner at Saison Capital. “As the Venture arm of Indonesia’s largest financial group, BRI Ventures, is committed to exploring and investing continuously in transformative technology that will shape Indonesian finance. We want to create a meaningful partnership between established financial institutions and fast-moving, innovative technology partners. Markus Liman Rahardja is the Chief Investment Officer of BRI Ventures. By connecting these two worlds we hope to accelerate digital asset adoption in Indonesia and catalyze growth. Indonesia is now ranked third in the world for web3 adoption, with over 20,000,000 crypto users. This shows a vibrant ecosystem. The rapid increase in the number of developers, institutional involvement, and clarity on regulatory matters are all contributing to long-term success. Coinvestasi’s role is to link the ecosystem, foster dialogue and share insights while enabling partnerships. This will help drive the industry ahead, said Steven Suhadi.

Indonesia’s Blockchain and Tokenization Ecosystem is rapidly evolving, thanks to a tech-savvy population, an expanding Middle Class, a growing Fintech Sector, and a rising adoption of digital payments infrastructure. All of these factors contribute to creating a foundational environment that allows blockchain-based innovation to scale and emerge.

Project Wira is a study developed by BRI Ventures and D3 Labs. It also includes Tiger Research. The report highlights the potential of blockchain to change Indonesia’s entire financial system. Indonesians own 7 percent of digital assets, which is more than the 6 million investors in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This adoption rate could increase. Digital money, commodities and bonds as well as carbon credits and real estate have all seen innovations. According to the report, Indonesia’s demand for tokenized assets could be as high as US$88 billion in 2030.
