Riot paid the remaining principal and accrued interest on Sept. 21, according to a Sept. 25 filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The company did not pay an early termination fee.

The repayment also released Bitcoin, USDC and cash pledged as collateral. As of June 30, Riot had pledged 5,821 Bitcoin worth about $340.7 million, representing roughly 51% of its 11,380 Bitcoin holdings.

The facility carried a fixed annual interest rate of 6.15% after an April 2026 amendment. Riot initially borrowed $100 million from Coinbase in April 2025 and doubled the facility to $200 million a month later.

Riot Expands Data Center Operations

Riot continues expanding its data-center business alongside Bitcoin mining. In August, the company announced a 20-year lease covering 191 megawatts at its Rockdale campus.

The agreement with an unnamed artificial intelligence developer is expected to generate about $9.1 billion in revenue over the lease term. The deal adds a long-term revenue source as Riot expands its computing infrastructure.
