An Oklahoma police officer and his wife are accused of taking more than $74,000 from an 82-year-old man’s accounts after moving into his home.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says the couple gained control of his money in 2023, when the officer was added to the accounts and given power of attorney, reports KOCO.

Andrew McVicker, 28, is an officer with the Alva Police Department. Abbigale McVicker, 24, is his wife.

Investigators say he withdrew about $15,900 from the accounts between April of 2025 and May of 2026 and sent more than $25,000 to her through Cash App from January of 2024 to March of 2026.

They say the man did not know and did not approve.

Credit card records show spending on restaurants, online orders, travel to Mexico, a cruise and concert tickets.

Agents also found a transfer-on-death deed that would have given McVicker the house when the man died.

Adult Protective Services got a report in March of 2026. The Woods County district attorney asked the OSBI to take the case on June 29th.

Warrants came on August 28th. Enid police arrested both on August 29th.

They were booked on exploitation of an elderly person and conspiracy. McVicker is on leave. The city of Alva says it is working with the OSBI.
