Orbiter Finance is a cross-chain protocol that uses Ethereum. It has announced its support of Donald Trump’s inaugural speech by sponsoring it.
This initiative follows the Token Generation Event (TGE), and the release of OBT, the governance token. Orbiter has pledged to continue supporting Trump’s initiatives throughout his presidency.
Orbiter Finance donated ten ETH, worth approximately $33,607, on January 20, 2025. This was the day of Trump’s presidential inauguration.
The donation was made possible by Orbiter’s OmniChain protocol, which facilitates seamless transactions across chains. Orbiter plans to continue making contributions in the future, demonstrating its interest in the evolving crypto-landscape.
Orbiter’s donation is part of an overall show of support by the crypto sector to Trump’s inaugural funds. Coinbase, Kraken and Circle, the issuers of the USDC stablecoin each donated $1 million. Robinhood, a company known for its growing presence on the crypto market, donated $2 million.

Launch and Airdrop Plans for OBT Governance Tokens
Orbiter Finance launched its governance token OBT on the day of Trump’s inauguration. The project has allocated 40 percent of its total OBT supply to community airdrops.
The remaining 3% will be distributed monthly over six months to encourage long-term participation within the Orbiter ecosystem. The remaining 3% of the allocation will be distributed over six months, monthly, to encourage long-term engagement within the Orbiter ecosystem.
OBT Listing on KuCoin Spot Exchange
Orbiter and KuCoin have partnered to list OBT on KuCoin’s spot platform beginning January 20, 2025.
