  • Voorhees invested $23,76M in tokenized assets of gold and created 28 wallets.

  • The move could boost Ethereum sentiment as well as draw greater institutional interest.

Erik Voorhees purchased 23,393 Ethereum for 49,08 million USDT by using two wallets in Cow Protocol. This is his first major ETH acquisition in more than a year. He still has 35,25 million USDT and is a strong believer in Ethereum.

Erik Voorhees buys 23,393 ETH at $49.08 million

Erik Voorhees (founder of ShapeShift and early Bitcoin advocate from 2011) purchased 23,393 tokens for $49.08 millions at an average price $2,098 each using two wallets on 15 March 2026.

The purchase was made through Cow Protocol multiple times. This is his largest Ethereum accumulation after selling approximately 12,886ETH at higher levels one year earlier. He still has 35.25million dollars in USDT to use for future purchases.

Sources claim that Erik Voorhees is diversifying his portfolio. Since late January 2026 he has created 28 wallets, invested $23.76 in tokenized assets and acquired 2,834 PAXG and 2,019 XAUT at an average price $4,896. He has unrealized profits in the amount of $513 thousand at mid-March.

This whale activity, despite the fact that he has been a strong advocate of Bitcoin and sold ETH at higher prices in the past, confirms his deep convictions about Ethereum. The crypto community views it as a bullish indicator due to the broader whale interest and market volatility.

What’s next for Ethereum in the Crypto Market?

According to CoinCodex’s forecast, Ethereum will be worth $ 2,512.80 in five days, $ 2,602.34 within a month, and $ 4,299.16 after three months.

The Fear and Greed Index is at 23, which indicates Extreme Fear. There are also 37 percent bullish signals versus 63 per cent bearish.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is neutral at 58.36. Moving averages are mixed. They reflect influences from historical volatility and Bitcoin correlations. They also reflect regulatory factors, adoption patterns, and whale activity, such as Voorhees’ purchases.

Voorhees’ high-profile move reinforces the market narrative, and could accelerate retail participation and institutional participation if conditions like regulatory clarity and new institution products improve.
