On-Chain trading sees strong growth
Bitget Wallet’s on-chain trading remained strong through 2025. Monthly swap trading volume reached $900 million in 2018, up 232% on the previous year. This shows that users are increasingly choosing decentralized trading to explore assets across multiple blockchains.
Derivatives also grew rapidly. Monthly perpetual futures volumes reached $5 billion. This is a 291% increase year-on-year. This is part of a larger trend towards decentralized perpetual markets.
The share of perpetual trading that is decentralized as opposed to centralized has tripled, reaching a record 18,7%. This shows a growing confidence in transparent and on-chain trading systems.
Stablecoins and payments drive wallet usage
Payments will be a major use of Bitget Wallet in 2025. The Bitget Wallet Card grew by more than 28x annually. This growth reflects an increasing trend in stablecoin payments around the world. Stablecoin transactions total $46 trillion worldwide each year.
Bitget Wallet has added more payment options to support this shift. Users can shop directly within the app, pay with crypto, scan QR codes in certain regions, or make bank transfers. These updates show that crypto payments are becoming a part of everyday spending.
On-Chain Products are Growing Rapidly
Bitget Wallet’s on-chain yield is also one of the fastest growing use cases in 2025. Quarterly subscriptions for Bitget Wallet Earn have reached nearly $200,000,000, a growth of more than tenfold since the beginning of the year. This was mainly due to stablecoin yields and partnerships with popular DeFi platform.
As markets became more cautious users showed greater interest in stable and predictible on-chain returns. The DeFi market has also grown, with the total value locked in reaching $161 billion by Q3 2025 – one of the highest levels since past market peaks.
