After selling more than $2,5 billion worth of stocks, Stanley Druckenmiller has been exploring other opportunities.
Last year, the famous investor and Duquesne Family Office head sold nearly all the shares in Palantir as well as all the shares held by the company.
The Motley Fool reports that Druckenmiller has begun to invest some of his massive cash reserves into Teva Pharma (TEVA), purchasing 1,427.950 shares valued at about $30.3 millions.
Stocks rose more than 100 percent in 2024 as the company reported a strong increase after settling opioid lawsuits and focusing its efforts on brand name drugs.
In Q3 2024 the Duquesne Family Office’s top investments include Natera (NTRA), valued at $452,000,000, Coupang(CPNG), worth $287,000,000, Coherent(COHR), at $264,000,000, Woodward (WWD), at $181,000,000, and Seagate Technology, (STX), at $179,000,000.
Druckenmiller expressed his concern in a recent interview to Nicolai Tanen, CEO Norges Bank Investment Management. He said that the Federal Reserve had cut rates far too early.
When this inflationary episode began, about two or three years ago (or a little more than a year ago), I had a lot of confidence that the inflation would come down. I was correct.
However, I had been worried about the economic situation. I was wrong. Since I was right in one area and wrong in another, you can treat this as a warning. I am now more concerned about the inflation than I am with the economy.
I am a bit worried about the Fed declaring victory way too soon. In 2021, when money was increasing by 40% and other things were occurring, I was more convinced that the inflation would rise. However, I don’t believe that the battle has been won and they have stifled this issue.
