Brian Moynihan, CEO of Bank of America believes that the United States are the most investor friendly country on the planet.
Moynihan, in an interview with Barron’s magazine, cites four factors that contribute to America’s exceptionality as a destination for investment and business.
A flexible workforce and the ability to introduce people to the country under varying rules.
The ability to innovate…from research through commercialization, at a high level that no other company has. This capital market capability and innovation, from the pure sciences to commercialization. These are the things America has had.
The final demand is what makes America so important. The biggest economy on the planet is driven two-thirds by consumers. If I sell consumer products or machinery to produce consumer goods, then I have to consider the United States. Even though there are more people in other countries, their GDP and spending per capita is not comparable .”
The CEO of Bank of America believes that the sentiment towards the US may change in the near future, but fundamental benefits of the largest economy on earth will remain.
I think that there will be fluctuations in what people want to do over the next year, six months or two years. Over long periods, America is the best country to invest .”
