Former regional sales managers of a Pennsylvania bank allegedly stole tens and thousands of dollars out of the account of one of their customers.
New court documents claim that Krista Murphy, who worked as a regional manager at the Orrstown Bank Harrisburg between September 2019 to July 2024, “misappropriated $84,573” from an account of a client.
`
Murr, who pleaded guilt in April 2025 was then banned from the financial field and ordered to repay the customers.
Documents reveal Murr’s ban on “participating to any extent in the management of any institution or organization, including but not limited, any insured depositories, holding companies of insured depository institutions, subsidiaries of these holding companies, and any foreign banks or firms.”
Orrstown Bank, according to data from the Federal Reserve, is the United States’ 226th largest bank with $5.4 billion of assets.
