A proposed class action lawsuit claims Arizona tea and juice drinks of being deceptively marketed as “natural” even though they include synthetic components.
The June 2026 class action alleges the labeling on Arizona Beverages’s products lead buyers to believe the products are free of artificial additives, prompting purchases based on that assumption.
Plaintiffs say the company is violating labeling regulations in California and on a federal level.
They’re seeking to hold the company accountable for what they describe as misleading packaging practices affecting beverage consumers nationwide.
The products allegedly contain at least one the following synthetic ingredients: high fructose corn syrup, ascorbic acid, Citric acid, malic acid; phosphoric acid, Sodium selenite, vitamin E acetate and Ester gum.
The suit says industrial processes are necessary to produce the ingredients, thereby making them synthetic.
