If MACD is also in negative territory, RSI approaching 50 may indicate a reversal.

The June inflows of funds and the price increase suggest renewed accumulation potential.
Investors are concerned about the sharp drop in Optimism’s (OP) price over the last seven days.
Technical analysts are now closely monitoring for signs of a possible price reversal, as the token tests historic support levels and forms an bullish divergence on its chart. As of the time of this press release, the token is currently trading at $0.5612.
Bullish Divergence Could Be Building
According to Michael van de Poppe of market analyst, Optimism has begun to show signs of forming an enormous bullish divergence. Its price has been hovering around the 0.00000053 level of support, suggesting that a possible base is forming.
Breaking above 0.00000080 would invalidate the downward trend and trigger a bullish rallie. Van de Poppe believes that this turning point is near, and that OP could become a good buy opportunity if momentum builds.
Momentum Indicators Still Bearish for Now
Currently, OP’s RSI is at 38.76. This is just shy of the oversold zone. If it continues to rise toward the 50-60 range it may confirm that sentiment has changed. Moving Average Convergence Divergence remains in negative territory despite early signs of a turnaround.

MACD values are currently 0.0396 and 0.0343. This indicator supports a current bearish narrative. The histogram is also below zero, highlighting the weak momentum. These values are shallow and could be quickly shifted if the volume increases or RSI gains more strength.
Capital Flows Point to Rebound Potential
Recent capital flow data paints an interesting picture. Between August 2024 to June 2025, OP experienced fluctuating spot inflows. There appears to be a negative correlation between large net flows and price movement. For example, the sharp outflows of late January 2025 coincided closely with steep price drops.
On June 20, 2025 a net inflow was recorded of $278.77K along with a mild price increase to $0.563. This modest price increase suggests a growing interest in the market and early signs that accumulation is taking place.
