A joint task force of the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has been formed to investigate violent attacks on Tesla property, such as a recent incident that involved incendiary device at a Tesla store in Austin, Texas.
FBI Director Kash patel called the attack “domestic terrorist” and promised to bring perpetrators to justice.
We have been coordinating our response and taking additional measures to coordinate and crackdown on the violence directed at Tesla. It is domestic terrorism. The perpetrators will be tracked down, arrested, and prosecuted.
This federal investigation is a response to a troubling trend of criminal and vandalism acts committed against Tesla, the electric car giant headed by Elon Musk.
The authorities suspect that these incidents are linked to the growing criticism of Musk’s involvement in Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, a controversial initiative designed to aggressively cut federal spending and staff.
Tesla is the target of escalating attacks
A bomb squad found multiple explosive devices in a Tesla store in Austin, the same city as Tesla’s headquarters.
In response, the FBI formed a task force dedicated to the ATF in order to combat the rising violence.
Patel wrote in a recent post to X, Musk’s social media platform, that the FBI was investigating an increase in violence against Tesla. Over the past few days we took additional measures to coordinate and crackdown on the issue.
He declared, “This is homegrown terrorism.” The perpetrators will be tracked down, arrested, and prosecuted.
Tesla is facing repeated property damage. There have been multiple reports about vandalized cars and facilities.
Although the exact motives are still unclear, some speculate that the protests were sparked by opposition to Musk’s influence on government through DOGE’s federal downsizing program.
Tesla owners are psychos if they burn their vehicles
Musk warned that the increasing number of assaults on Tesla property was not only illegal but also insensible.
Musk said to employees: “If you look at the news it’s like Armageddon.”
The vandals were criticized by the man, who said, “Anyone who burns Tesla cars is psycho.” Stop being psycho!”
Tesla’s safety measures have been put under increased scrutiny now that the FBI and ATF are involved.
Musk has been criticized and praised for his role as part of the Trump Administration.
As new information becomes available, this post FBI launches taskforce on Tesla attacks and calls them “domestic terrorists” may change.
