More Than half of World Liberty Financial’s portfolio is ETH

The company is a notable investor in Ethereum-based tokens like WBTC and USDC
Ethereum is one of the most talked about topics at the upcoming crypto-summit on March 7. This is not because Vitalik Buterin is not on the list of invitees, but rather, because he is not part of the possible discussion.
It’s not 100% confirmed but it’s odd that there is no confirmation of his attendance. We already know that other crypto experts and enthusiasts are attending.
World Liberty Financial’s Big Bet On ETH
Donald Trump’s crypto firm World Liberty Financial also has a large amount of ETH–over 57% to be exact–in its portfolio. Other allocations include WBTC (wrapped Bitcoin which is also an Ethereum-based coin) at 18.93% and USDC (USD Coin which operates as an Ethereum ERC-20 token) at 13%.

Looking at the numbers, ETH dominates World Liberty Financial’s portfolio. World Liberty Financial appears to be betting on Ethereum continuing to dominate DeFi, NFTs and other blockchain innovations.
Ethereum’s Leadership
ETH, however, appears to be having difficulties in this current bull-run and has yet to reach a brand new all-time highest. Buterin’s possible absence from the summit may have a negative impact on the cryptocurrency. This is especially true when you consider the recent events surrounding the Ethereum Foundation and appointment of a new CEO.
Many early Ethereum enthusiasts, as well as long-term community members, value Ethereum’s original ethos decentralization and collaboration. Some fear that a corporate management style could dilute these ideals since the foundation has historically operated under a decentralized leadership and with strong influence from Buterin.

Some say it’s good news, but the current uncertainty surrounding ETH is not to be denied. One has to wonder if World Liberty Financial’s large allocation of Ethereum was a good decision.
The possible exclusion from the crypto summit of Vitalik Buterin could signal a divergence in the regulatory priorities of government and the decentralized ideas championed by Ethereum’s creators. It is still unclear how this will impact the cryptocurrency, but it is clear that ETH is in for some interesting times.
