ZKsync to unveil new developments aligned with Ethereum’s future role in the economy
Alex Gluchowski is the founder of ZKsync, and CEO of Matter Labs. He believes Ethereum will continue to be a good fit for the market as the “world-computer” of the decentralized economic system. In a recent press release, Gluchowski emphasized the fact that, while decentralized versions of platforms such as Nasdaq or SWIFT might emerge, Ethereum is still the true foundation for the Internet of Value.
According to Gluchowski’s, Ethereum’s neutrality is its main strength. He said that Ethereum’s neutrality and security will continue to be a source of value for ETH, whether it is directly or indirectly.
Ethereum as the Base Layer of the Multi-Chain Future
Gluchowski acknowledged the fact that future global payment and transaction infrastructures won’t rely on a singular blockchain, just as today’s Internet doesn’t rely on a solitary server. Ethereum’s future is to serve as a settlement layer for a network of decentralized, distributed blockchains.
He also urged Layer-2 developer to focus on Ethereum’s future trajectory and not its past. Gluchowski said that future-ready Layer-2 design must align with Ethereum’s evolving architecture, particularly in light of new suggestions from Ethereum’s leadership.

Vitalik Buterin Proposes Major EVM Upgrade for RISC V
Gluchowski made his remarks in response to a major proposal by Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum. Buterin posted on Ethereum’s core developers forum that RISC-V should replace the Ethereum Virtual Machine. This open-source computing platform is known for its built-in security and flexibility.
The EVM is currently supporting Ethereum’s smart contracts ecosystem and has been critical to its success. EVM standards are used by several Layer-2 networks and blockchains to maintain compatibility between Ethereum applications.

Buterin said that adopting RISC-V would improve the efficiency of Ethereum’s execution layer, and could help solve long-standing scalability issues. He also said that this move would simplify the design of Ethereum’s execution layer for future updates.
ZKsync Aligns its Roadmap with Ethereum’s Next Phase
Gluchowski confirmed ZKsync’s preparation for the architectural changes proposed by Ethereum. He said that the Layer-2 Project would soon announce new developments aligned to this vision.
Gluchowski hinted at the possibility of ZKsync updates arriving within the next two week, signaling a proactive push towards Ethereum’s next growth phase.
