Ethereum Price Holds Above $3,300
The top 10 altcoins by market capitalization have risen on the day, adding to the recent gains.
Ethereum rose above $3300, despite the long-dormant whale who held 398,889 ETH when Ether was priced at $6 and then sold it for $224,000,000.
Solana prices hit new highs
Solana has been one of the most active coins in the last 24 hours. SOL broke through $260 and hit an all-time record high of $264, before paring gains.
The current price, $254, may not be as high in future weeks.
EOS gains 11.5%
EOS is among the top 100 altcoins by market capitalization. Altcoins that have lagged behind the overall market are now bullish. They traded up 11.5% in just 24 hours.
EOS/USD is currently trading at $0.73.

Since Nov. 5, nearly all segments of the market are up and Metaverse Toke Decentraland has followed suit.
MANA, the native token for the Virtual Reality Network on Ethereum.
Ethereum’s recent gains were boosted by an increase of 8%. Altcoins were traded at around $0.44.

The majority of today’s crypto headlines have focused on Bitcoin reaching near $100k. The benchmark cryptocurrency had reached highs earlier that day, when it was valued at $99500.
MicroStrategy’s BTC-buying spree dominated the conversation on X as well as other media focused on markets.

Donald Trump’s administration is looking to create a crypto-advisory committee. The crypto-friendly Trump and his team are looking to turn the US into the crypto capital.
On Friday, reports also claimed that Trump’s staff is looking at former CFTC Chairman Chris Giancarlo to fill the position of “crypto czar”.
Circle, Ripple, and Kraken, among others, are vying for a position in the anticipated Crypto Council.
In a letter sent to Trump, the Blockchain Association urged him to form an advisory committee and other important priorities in the first hundred days.
The group also urges that the President-elect consider the nomination of a replacement for Gary Gensler as the chairperson of the SEC.
Gensler, who is not popular with the public, announced his resignation Thursday. He will leave on January 20, 2019. Jaime Lizarraga, the SEC commissioner who is set to retire on January 17, 2020 will also be leaving his post.
Cboe announced that it will launch its first Bitcoin Index Options with cash settlement.
Cboe Global Markets announced that the index options would reflect Bitcoin spot price, and go live December 2, 2024. This news is just a few days after the spot Bitcoin ETF options became live.
Polymarket is also reported to have halted its services in France. The investigation comes after an investor in France won $45m on Trump’s victory.
