Worldcoin, the cryptocurrency that creates an identity network using eye scanning technology has changed its name.
The statementspan style=”font weight: 400 ;”>, explains the reason why Worldcoin has become World Network. It was co-founded with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and Tools for Humanity’s CEO Alex Blania.
World, along with adopting its new name and introducing an updated version Orb’s eyeball scanning device at an event held in San Francisco the week before last, also unveiled an update to their current product.
A spherical peripheral scans the eye and verifies the user’s identity. The World ID is given to those who register in the system. They can then use it anonymously online to prove their humanity.
World reports that the Orb’s updated version is powered by a NVIDIA Jetson chipet, which has nearly five times as much artificial intelligence performance (AI) than its predecessor. It is cheaper to manufacture the upgraded Orb, with its fully removable SD card.
The next-generation Orb was unveiled during the world event. It offers advanced technologies to enable World ID verification of human verifcations faster than ever before.
World claims that the Orb will be accessible in more countries. Project says that its human verification service will soon be available in more countries including Costa Rica, Brazil and Indonesia.
