JPMorgan Chase, a financial services giant, holds over $1,000,000 worth of Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH), exchange-traded fund (ETFs).
JPMorgan holds ETFs that are based on Bitcoin, which is the largest digital asset in terms of market capitalization. JPMorgan also owns ETFs that are based upon Ethereum.
Data reveals that the bank giant owns a number of notable ETFs, such as more than $523,000 of ProShares Bitcoin Trust (BITO), $290,000. worth BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), 68,000 of Bitwise Bitcoin Trust (BITB), 55,000 of Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoins (FBTC), and 37,000 of Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC).
JPMorgan currently holds the Grayscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE) ETF, $6,200 of the iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), as well as $2,100 of the Fidelity Ethereum fund (FETH), along with $102 of the Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust (ETH).
The SEC approved ETFs based on the two top crypto assets – BTC and ETH – in 2024, after many years of refusing to do so.
JPMorgan filed with the SEC in May 2024 that it held $760,000 of BTC spot market ETFs for its clients. This represents an increase of more than $220,000.
