The top US crypto exchange Coinbase created a tool allowing users to create artificial intelligence agents (AI) on the Base Blockchain.
Lincoln Murr, a Coinbase developer who created “Based Agent,” introduced it in a video shared on the social platform X by Brian Armstrong. He claims that this AI agent can be built with Base’s full functionality and on-chain within three minutes.
Lincoln said the tool was developed using Coinbase’s SDK, OpenAI’s AI platform and Replit’s AI software deployment.
Our goal is to help you build your AI agent as quickly as possible.
There are several modes to choose from, but the one I find most intriguing is the autonomous mode where [AI] agents can do what they want with the on-chain interaction.
This is a template to build AI agents that can access all kinds of smart contracts functionality. You can integrate it with any contract, swaps and stakes.
Base is a layer-2 Ethereum (ETH), blockchain launched by Coinbase last year. It aims to get the next 1 billion users onto-chain.
Coinbase has recently announced that it is using a model of machine learning to “predict spikes in traffic from users” and deploys additional server resources automatically. This helps prevent potential outages.
Crypto markets are volatile. Coinbase’s platform can experience sudden spikes in user traffic and activity, which then quickly disappear. When traffic spikes, we add resources and scale back down to normal.
