The latest trend in the crypto sector is the Telegram Mini-Games.
Telegram mini-apps are small online apps that run inside the messaging app.
By completing simple quests, such as signing in every day or subscribing different channels, players can receive cryptocurrencies.
These games are operated using decentralized apps (dApps), and in-game economy, within the Open Network ecosystem (TON).
A user can jump in by creating a TON wallet inside the Telegram application. This wallet can hold all rewards from games and be redeemed through crypto exchanges.
This article will examine some of the games the crypto-community is playing in preparation for their airdrops.
Hamster Kombat
The TON mini-game is the fastest growing and most popular in the ecosystem. It’s a simple game: players tap the screen in order to collect the currency that can be exchanged for HMSTR, the game’s upcoming token.
Hamster Kombat lets players control a virtual cryptocurrency exchange, with Hamsters as their mascot. More coins are earned by tapping on the Hamster. The game also features daily rewards for logging in, as well as upgrades which allow the coins to be mined even when the user isn’t online.

TapSwap, originally built on Solana’s blockchain, is now also available on Telegram. Airdrops are planned for the TON Blockchain. The current supply of TAPS tokens is 1 billion.
The project also has allocated tokens to the community at 50%, with 30% locked up in the treasury of the game, and the rest to increase liquidity.
Catizen
Catizen, a viral game featuring adorable cats that has been played by over 12,000,000 players since launch, is another mini-game with cute kittens. The players must swipe together cats to raise their value and level.
This is not a clicker, and players must pay attention. Catizen is more interesting than most other games because of this slightly different approach.
The players are responsible for a cat café where guests can come to spend some time with cats. Users are rewarded with the vKITTY in-game token that can be used for purchasing more cats, or redeemed through the TON wallet.
Already, the game has over 550,000 users.
A future airdrop will award players based upon the amount of vKITTY tokens that they’ve earned within game. Project plans to distribute 42% tokens to community. The project announced that it would allocate 0% of the tokens to the team. This is the only allocation in the list.
It has also been partnered up with Ethereum’s layer-2 protocol Mantle. Binance Labs recently invested in Pluto Vision Labs (the studio that created the game).
The Token is available to trade on the crypto exchanges Bybit Bitget for pre-market.
When will the airdrops be coming?
Hamster Kombat HMSTR’s airdrop, originally scheduled for July has now been postponed. No news dates are available as of yet.
TapSwap has announced that it plans to launch the TAPS airdrop in 2024, sometime around the third quarter. No announcements have yet been made.
Citizen originally planned to airdrop its CATI tokens in July, but the developer’s cited technical issues as the reason for this delay.
These delays have not been well received by the crypto-community, but they do give players the chance to get involved with the other millions.
