After a breach of data, a US bank has warned nearly 4,000 clients that the names, Social Security Numbers and account details could be compromised.
According to a recent filing by the Office of the Maine attorney general, Flagship Bank, based in Florida, “became conscious of suspicious activities within their environment”, and began an investigation.
The investigation found that unauthorized access to Flagship Bank occurred in April 2025 due to social engineering.
Flagship Bank has conducted an audit of the relevant systems, and is contacting those who had information in them.
Community Association Banking Division (CAB), which provides lending, deposit and cash management to condominium and homeowner associations, is operated by the community bank.
The financial institution informed its customers in a letter that it had notified the federal authorities about the breach of data and was working on providing additional training for employees to help prevent any future incidents.
Flagship Bank offers 12 months credit monitoring through TransUnion and will also provide proactive fraud assistance to customers with questions.
